ESP’s Roaring 20′s Fundraiser for CHOC

Break out those Dr. Scholl’s Gel Inserts and put on your  travelin’ shoe’s cause we’re going back in time.  Past the 70’s, the 50’s, almost there….aahhh, the 20’s, The Roaring 20’s!  The folks at Elite Service Providers decided to spend an evening of glitz and glamour while dancing the night away amongst vintage automobiles and movie stars to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Orange County. (So, there were no movie stars.  But it sounded good, right?)

Anywho, back to what I was saying.  Remember my good friend Danny Mendoza?  Well, Danny was gracious enough to join me for this trip back in time.  He could tell ya’ll, this wasn’t just a night to get all dolled up in diamonds and fur for any old soirée.   This was a party with a purpose; a fundraiser to benefit CHOC. The Astor Classics Event Center was the perfect place to mingle among some of Art Astor’s 240 vintage cars, fuel pumps, and other “stuff” as he calls it.  It seemed very befitting to hold a fundraiser to help CHOC save more lives at Art’s Living Automotive and Communications Museum.

Tammy Carlos of TKC  Marketing and Event Consulting did a fabulous job coordinating a night of fun for funds complete with a Cigarette Girl selling raffle tickets.  Should a guest dare to refuse her, she’d call for the Cops to cart them off to the slammer.  While the jailbirds tried buying their freedom, some of their friends were dancing the night away to the tunes provided by the awesome DJ’s of Island Music Entertainment.   Bonnie and Clyde were spotted holding up a real nice Attorney and his lovely wife.  The poor folks got taken for everything and were later thrown in jail for not buying a ticket.  (At least that what the Attorney said.)

And what’s a soirée without delicious dishes and delectable deserts?  Luscious Jimmy’s Catering was on the scene in the mobile gourmet kitchen preparing and serving a mouth-watering menu.  Then there was chocolate.  Rich, dark, velvety smooth chocolate that was the perfect consistency, not too sweet, not to bitter…. just warm chocolaty perfection.  Ed Babic is the man behind the chocolaty goodness that those lucky little brownie bites and strawberries were dipped in.  (I think I’m hungry, are you?)

Until our soles meet again…
