This is where we’ll talk about shoes and answer the question I’ve been getting about how they relate to photography.
To start things off, I’d like to share a poem that was written for me a few years ago:
Shoes Shoes Shoes
If you are feeling bad they will stop your blues
If you hear something bad, a new pair will be your balanced good news
You can have any pair in the store if you just choose
Why stop at one pair, get three maybe four
Hell, who’s stopping you? Get six pair more!
Hey they just continue to fly out the door.
Woman’s shoe sales alone are 20% of the GDP
Thank God for capitalism, woman’s lib and democracy
So if you find a pair that you just adore
Get them, who cares if Ellen Tracy makes your corns sore
There is never a wrong time to hunt them
You may always want them
If you are feeling like noth’en, shoes will make you feel someth’en
Never underestimate, the comforting feeling a new pair may create
The therapy that’s healing power perpetuates and the desire is almost innate
Even if all is good, if you’re in the mood don’t hesitate
Just whip out the charge card and try on shoes till your bunions throb
Hey that’s why you work so hard at your job.
